As the January transfer window approaches, clubs are making moves to strengthen their squads, and Congolese striker Gaëtan Laura has emerged as a sought-after target.
Antalyaspor is reportedly leading the race to secure his signature.
Laura, currently at Samsunspor, is nearing the end of his contract, which is set to expire in 2025. Starting in January, he will be eligible to negotiate with other clubs.
According to information gathered from close sources, Antalyaspor is actively pursuing the 27-year-old and hopes to sign him either in the winter transfer window or as a free agent next summer.
Reports suggest Antalyaspor is prepared to offer Laura a contract spanning one and a half seasons, with an option for an additional year. If negotiations proceed smoothly, he could join the Turkish club as early as January.
This season, Laura has struggled for consistent game time at Samsunspor, featuring in just 10 of the team’s 16 league matches and mostly coming off the bench.
Frustrated by his limited role, the forward is reportedly eager to leave for a club where he can play more regularly.
