Bayer Leverkusen has entered the fray for Chelsea defender Axel Disasi, as revealed by journalist Sacha Tavolieri in his Sky Sports column.
The Bundesliga outfit joins Juventus in the pursuit of the 26-year-old, who has struggled for game time this season.
Despite being a key figure under Mauricio Pochettino last term, Disasi has seen his minutes dwindle under new management, clocking just 184 minutes in the Premier League this campaign. The French international, contracted to Chelsea until 2029, might be considering his options, with a January move on the cards.
While Juventus have shown interest, financial constraints could hinder their ability to secure the former Monaco star. Bayer Leverkusen, however, may have the resources to swoop in. The German side is bracing for the possible departure of Jonathan Tah and has identified Disasi as a prime replacement.
Disasi’s camp has reportedly been approached by Leverkusen, signaling the club’s intent. If Tah exits, Leverkusen could make a decisive move, setting the stage for Disasi’s potential Bundesliga debut.
Disasi has played four games and scored one goal in the Premier League this season.
