Nnamdi Collins, once a promising talent in Borussia Dortmund’s youth ranks, is thriving at Eintracht Frankfurt after a 2023 transfer worth €1 million.
The move, initially questioned, now looks like a grave oversight by Dortmund’s management, as Collins has become a cornerstone of Dino Toppmöller’s squad.
Reflecting on the contrasting environments of his former and current clubs, Collins shared candid insights with Sky: “I mainly spent my youth time at BVB, and I can only say that my youth time was the best time in my young career.” However, the transition to Dortmund’s senior setup left him unsettled.
“At BVB, I had more of a feeling of insecurity in training,” he admitted. “At Eintracht, I just notice this willingness to help people, the positive mood and calmness. It’s fun to train here.”
Collins credits Frankfurt’s supportive culture for his resurgence, emphasizing the value of camaraderie and enjoyment in his daily work. “Here at Eintracht, I just have this relaxed attitude. It’s a huge difference for me today,” he concluded.
