Club Africain has initiated discussions to bolster its squad ahead of the upcoming winter transfer window, which opens in January 2025. The Tunisian club is focused on securing quality additions to strengthen its roster for the second half of the season.
Local sources close to the club, known as “Bab Jedid,” have confirmed that negotiations are already underway for two potential signings.
The first is Wilson Samaké, a promising Malian international forward who currently plays for Châteauroux in France.
The 20-year-old, who is primarily deployed as a centre forward, has garnered attention for his performances in the French league.
Having been trained at Stade Rennais, Samaké’s market value is estimated at €150,000, according to the football statistics website Transfermarkt.
His arrival would provide a boost to Club Africain’s attacking options as they look to improve their offensive firepower.
In addition to Samaké, the club’s management, led by chairman Haikel Dkhil, is reportedly in talks with Haykeul Chikhaoui, a Tunisian midfielder currently playing for Ajman in the United Arab Emirates.
Chikhaoui, who has previous experience in the Tunisian league with clubs such as Union Sportive Monastirienne and Stade Tunisien, would bring valuable experience and technical ability to Club Africain’s midfield.
Reports indicate that the 28-year-old Chikhaoui was recently spotted in the stands of the Radès stadium during Club Africain’s 3-0 victory over ES Metlaoui.
His presence at the match has sparked speculation that a move to the club may be imminent. If confirmed, his signing would mark a significant reinforcement for Club Africain, especially as they aim to challenge for top honours in the Tunisian football scene.
With these potential signings, Club Africain is clearly looking to make strategic moves in the transfer market to build a competitive squad for the second half of the 2024-2025 season.
The club’s fanbase will be watching closely as the negotiations unfold and as these two players potentially join the ranks of one of Tunisia’s most storied football institutions.
