Former France international William Gallas has advised Chelsea against the signing of Egyptian star Mohammed Salah.
The highly-rated winger is in the final year of his contract at Liverpool and is yet to receive a contract renewal offer at the club.
Salah struggled at Chelsea before departing to join Italian Serie A giants AS Roma, where he established himself as a key member of the team.
His outstanding performance caught the attention of Liverpool, who snap the winger in 2017.
Salah has been linked with a possible return to Chelsea as he nears the expiration of his contract at Liverpool.
But former defender William Gallas has rejected it, saying his return could disrupt the team.
“I think Chelsea should pass on the opportunity to sign Mohamed Salah as a free agent this summer. I believe he would hinder the team. The current Chelsea squad is learning and growing together, which works well for Enzo Maresca.
They are part of a generation without big egos, even though Cole Palmer is in the spotlight. I think bringing in a player like Salah would disrupt the team’s balance, despite his Premier League form, and it would weaken Liverpool,” Gallas told Goal.
