Hicham Benkaid has been awarded the National Player of the Month trophy for November, as announced by the French Football Federation (FFF). The FC Rouen striker triumphed over strong competition, including Adama Diakité of FC Villefranche-Beaujolais, Benjamin Gomel of AS Nancy Lorraine, and Jordan Marié of Dijon FCO.
This marks the second individual accolade for the 34-year-old, who previously won the award in January 2023 while playing for Saint-Brieuc.
Benkaid’s outstanding form this season, with six goals to his name, has placed him second in the National scorers’ table, just one goal behind leader Thibault Rambaud of Boulogne.
Benkaid takes over the honor from Erwan Colas of Le Mans, who was named Player of the Month for October.
His performances continue to make a significant impact for Rouen as they progress through the season.
