Wydad president Aït Menna vows to deliver a remarkable club world cup
Hisham Aït Menna, President of Wydad Sports Club, has pledged to create optimal conditions for the team’s participation in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, promising fans an extraordinary performance on the global stage.
Speaking after the tournament’s group-stage draw, Aït Menna expressed confidence in Wydad’s readiness.
“We will be up to the challenge,” he affirmed.
“We intend to bring in experienced players during the transfer window to strengthen key positions.
This will enable the coach to assemble a team capable of defending the reputation of Moroccan football and celebrating its global prominence in recent years.”
Acknowledging the strength of the competition, Aït Menna remarked, “All the teams are formidable.
When we qualified for the Club World Cup, we understood the level of competition we would face.
However, we are determined to represent Morocco honorably and meet the high expectations of our fans.”
The draw has placed Wydad in a challenging group alongside English champions Manchester City, Italian giants Juventus, and UAE’s Al Ain FC.
