Khalid Fakerni, the secretary general of Raja Casablanca, has firmly denied reports linking Yousri Bouzok with a move to Zamalek SC.
The Algerian forward, who has been a regular starter for the Moroccan club, recently found himself sidelined after refusing to wear a controversial jersey that depicted a map of Morocco, including disputed territories.
Sources suggested that Zamalek SC might be keen on signing Bouzok, especially given the ongoing tension between the player and Raja Casablanca.
However, Fakerni was quick to dismiss these rumours in a recent interview with Kora Plus, stating, “There is no contact with Zamalek for the recruitment of Yousri Bouzok.
He will continue with Raja, as he intends to honour his contract, and we have no intention of parting ways with him.
The 28-year-old has had a solid season so far, contributing four goals and six assists in the Botola Pro League.
However, with his contract set to expire next summer, speculation over his future has intensified.
Despite this, Fakerni’s comments indicate that Raja Casablanca has no plans to release him at this stage.
Bouzok’s current situation is further complicated by personal matters, as he faces a looming divorce, which may affect his focus both on and off the field.
The player, originally from Constantine, is valued at €1.9 million by Transfermarkt, but it seems that for now, his future lies with Raja Casablanca.
