Mohamed El Amine Amoura impresses with braces against Leipzig as Hasenhüttl hails talents

Wolfsburg manager Ralph Hasenhüttl has lauded Algerian forward Mohamed El Amine Amoura following his standout performance in the Bundesliga clash against RB Leipzig. Amoura’s impressive brace played a crucial role in his team’s victory, and Hasenhüttl was quick to acknowledge the striker’s extraordinary qualities, which have been evident throughout the 2024/2025 season.

Speaking to Sport 1, Hasenhüttl expressed his admiration for Amoura’s abilities, stating, “He is simply an extraordinary player with great quality.

Our weapon surprised Leipzig very early on… The opposing defenders did not expect his efficiency and speed from the first minutes of the match.”

Amoura’s contributions in the match allowed Wolfsburg to take control early, with the striker helping his side secure a comfortable lead in the opening 15 minutes.

Hasenhüttl continued, emphasizing the impact of the Algerian international on the pitch, “He was decisive for us, because he allowed us to take a comfortable lead in the first quarter of an hour of the match.”

The coach highlighted Amoura’s ability to create problems for opposing defenses due to his pace and technical skill, adding, “Thanks to him, we can cause problems for our opponents on the move. He is extremely fast, difficult to catch… Just give him the ball in depth.”

Since joining Wolfsburg, Amoura has become a key figure in the squad, contributing significantly to the team’s offensive play.

This season, the 22-year-old has featured in 10 Bundesliga matches, scoring 4 goals and providing 6 assists.

His clinical finishing and ability to create chances for his teammates have made him one of the standout performers in the current campaign.

Amoura’s blistering speed and sharp eye for goal have made him a vital asset for Wolfsburg, and his coach’s comments reflect just how much the Algerian is valued by the team.

If his form continues, he could become one of the Bundesliga’s most dangerous attackers as the season progresses.
