Morocco-Spain-Portugal bid for 2030 World Cup surpasses FIFA requirements
FIFA has confirmed that the joint bid by Morocco, Spain, and Portugal to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup has exceeded the minimum criteria required for consideration.
In an official evaluation report, the tripartite proposal received a score of 4.2 out of 5, reflecting its readiness to meet the demands of hosting the prestigious global tournament.
The evaluation followed a comprehensive review process, including detailed inspections of facilities and infrastructure in the candidate countries.
FIFA announced that the findings will be presented at a special conference on December 11, where member associations will vote on the final selection of host nations.
The report praised the joint bid’s ambition to inspire and unite people through football, leveraging the collective passion of the three countries to foster connections across borders.
It noted that the proposal aligns seamlessly with FIFA’s motto, Football Unites the World.
“The bid seeks to inspire, unify, and harness the shared enthusiasm for football across the three nations, fostering ties between neighboring continents and people worldwide,” FIFA stated in its review.
The collaborative effort between Morocco, Spain, and Portugal highlights their commitment to delivering an inclusive and memorable World Cup.
The proposal also reflects a shared vision of using football as a tool for building stronger connections between Europe and Africa.
This bid’s success in meeting and exceeding FIFA’s requirements positions it as a strong contender for hosting rights.
As anticipation builds, football fans across the globe eagerly await the December conference that will determine the future of the 2030 World Cup.
