Twelve Nations secure spots in 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations
The qualification process for the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations has concluded, with 12 teams earning their places in the tournament’s final phase. Egypt secured the second spot from the North African zone (UNAF) after a decisive 4-0 victory over Libya. The lineup features teams from across Africa’s regional associations.
Defending champions Senegal and Sierra Leone advanced from West Africa A (UFOA A), while Ghana and Nigeria represent West Africa B (UFOA B).
Tanzania and Kenya qualified from East Africa (CECAFA), with South Africa and Zambia emerging from Southern Africa.

The Central African zone (UNIFFAC) will be represented by Congo and DR Congo, alongside Morocco and Egypt from North Africa.
The competition is slated for February 19 to March 11, 2025.
Although Egypt was initially set to host, the tournament is now expected to take place in South Africa, pending final confirmation by CAF.
