The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially unveiled the nominees for its prestigious 2024 Best in Africa Awards, honoring the continent’s standout football clubs and national teams.
The awards ceremony is set to take place in December in Marrakech, Morocco, with teams from across Africa competing for top honors.
For the coveted Best Club in Africa award, Egypt’s renowned clubs Al-Ahly and Zamalek lead the nominations. Other nominated clubs include Morocco’s RS Berkane and Tunisia’s Esperance de Tunis.
Also in contention are South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns, Angola’s Petro Atletico, FC Dreams from Ghana, Congo’s TP Mazembe, and Tanzania’s Simba and Young Africans.
In the Best Men’s National Team category, several top-performing teams are nominated, representing a wide geographical spread across Africa.
