Wydad AC have confirmed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Pedrinho, strengthening their squad following the acquisition of South African forward Cassius Mailula.
The 20-year-old playmaker has signed a three-year deal + option with the Brazilian club holding 20% resale, AfricaSoccer.com understands
Pedrinho, who previously played for Brazil’s Athletico Paranaense, brings experience and skill to the Moroccan giants.
The attacking midfielder joins the Moroccan giants on back off a decent 2023-24 campaign that saw him score 7 goals in 20 appearances across all competitions for the Corinthians U20 team.
Wydad will open their 2024-25 league campaign this Saturday when they face Maghreb de Fes.
This strategic signing is part of Wydad’s efforts to bolster their team as they compete in both domestic and continental competitions.
The club aims to maintain its status as a dominant force in African football, and the addition of Pedrinho is seen as a crucial move in achieving this goal.
