In remarks following a meeting of the Professional League with clubs from the first and second divisions, Belkchour emphasized the difficulties faced by the league in announcing match schedules well in advance.
He pointed out that the travel requirements of Moroccan clubs competing in African tournaments are a major factor in these delays.
“One of the biggest challenges we face in scheduling is the travel arrangements for Moroccan clubs participating in African competitions,” Belkchour stated.
“These travels make it difficult to announce the fixture schedule before the start of the season.”
Belkchour further elaborated on the logistical difficulties, highlighting that the league’s scheduling committee must wait for the dates of continental matches and the travel itineraries of Moroccan clubs before they can finalize and announce the schedule for each matchday.
“The constraints of African travel and the difficulties in navigating the continent present significant hurdles for the scheduling committee,” he noted.
“We have to wait for the dates of continental matches and the travel schedules of our clubs before we can announce the program for each round.”
