Hanover communications launches Hanover Sport to enhance Sporting offerings
Today, Hanover Communications, a leading company in strategic communications and public affairs consulting in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, announced the launch of “Hanover Sport,” a move aimed at enhancing the company’s offerings.
This initiative seeks to integrate the company’s expertise in sports across various levels, including brand storytelling, strategic and corporate communications, audience engagement, sponsorship activation, and public affairs, to provide leading communication services in the sports industry.
The company has assembled a team to support brands and institutions in overcoming challenges in the complex business landscape of the sports sector, from audience systems to decision-makers.
This move is significant as sports has a profound impact on entertainment, culture, commerce, policies, community engagement, and tourism.
Currently, Hanover is designing campaigns for brands, rights owners, sponsors, and broadcast entities, including the NFL UK, UFC, British Horseracing Authority, Saudia Airlines, and StepHub International.
Hanover has previously collaborated with the English Premier League, the England and Wales Cricket Board, Sky Sports, and Abu Dhabi HSBC Championships.
Hanover Sport encompasses a wide range of local events and global flagship programs through its offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, London, Dublin, and Brussels, along with a network of global partner agencies.
Rebecca Hartridge, former director at Playbook, has been appointed as the director of Hanover Sport.
Hartridge, with over 15 years of experience working with prominent sports brands, oversees the agency’s sports operations under the supervision of Gary Cleland, Hanover’s Group Managing Director.
Commenting on the launch, Rebecca Hartridge stated, “Hanover has a proven track record of collaborating with prestigious brands in various sports disciplines and markets. The launch of Hanover Sport consolidates all these experiences to provide rewarding offerings.”
She added, “Sports provide a significant opportunity for brands to grow.
However, the business within the sector is highly complex, requiring an understanding of the entire ecosystem, from the audience to journalists, leaders, and policymakers.
The company has a broad understanding of this, coupled with extensive experience in storytelling for established brands in the sports industry. Integrating these experiences allows partnerships with institutions and brands to help them succeed.”
Hanover Sport boasts a veteran team of multidisciplinary experts with a rich history in sports, including Gavin Megaw, Johnnie Summers, Siri Reid, and Ilija Trifunovic, all contributing to its global offerings.
