Zoran Manojlovic, the head coach of Libya’s Al Hilal football club, has clarified recent rumors regarding negotiations with some Egyptian clubs.
In an interview with Program Number 10 on the first channel, Manojlovic stated, “I haven’t received any official offers from Egypt.
It’s only been discussions with some agents, and thus, I haven’t dwelled on them.”
Reflecting on his previous tenure in the Egyptian league with Al Ittihad, he remarked, “I had been happy leading there, but family issues prompted my departure.”
Regarding certain stars from Al Ittihad, he praised, “Maboulou is an extremely talented player, and I would love to coach him again. Marwan Attia (currently with Al Ahly) possesses immense potential.”
However, he noted, “Marwan used to make many mistakes at Al Ittihad, but he has significantly developed with Al Ahly.”
When discussing the drawbacks of the Egyptian league, Manojlovic cited, “The interruptions and frequent postponements, which I didn’t appreciate.
However, overall, it is one of the best leagues globally, resembling the English Premier League, with several outstanding teams.”
Manojlovic emphasized that the upcoming match against Egypt’s Modern FC in the CAF Confederation Cup would be challenging.
He added, “They have exceptional players and have become one of the top clubs in Egypt, delivering remarkable performances.”
