Zlatan Ibrahimović’s Malmö Home Targeted by Explosive Device
Swedish football star Zlatan Ibrahimović has found himself at the center of an unsettling incident. According to the Ruply news agency, the Paris Saint-Germain striker’s home in the suburbs of Malmö was targeted by an explosive device last Sunday.
Swedish police confirmed they discovered a rusty old grenade near the property. While it’s unclear how serious the damage was or how close the device came to detonating, a security perimeter was quickly established to secure the area.
At this stage, authorities do not believe the incident was a terrorist attack. However, the motives remain unclear.
Speculation has arisen, particularly in the Swedish press, that Ibrahimović’s recent controversial comments may be linked to the event. Notably, the striker had boasted about killing a 500-kilogram elk, which drew public criticism from animal rights groups and sparked a wave of backlash online.
Police are continuing their investigation to determine whether this was a targeted act or a random occurrence. Meanwhile, Ibrahimović has not yet publicly commented on the incident.
