Zira FC sign Ivory Coast winger Dimitri Legbo from HNK Rijeka
Cote d’Ivoire winger Dimitri Legbo has joined Zira FC from Croatian side HNK Rijeka, completing a move to Azerbaijan’s Premyer Liqa on 4 September 2026.
The 25-year-old plays as a left winger and is left-footed. He moves to Zira after spending part of the 2025-26 season with Rijeka, having arrived at the Croatian club from Finland’s FC Inter in January 2026 on a free transfer.
Legbo made his senior move to European football with Armenian club Ararat Yerevan in September 2021, before joining FC Inter in February 2023. He spent time with the Finnish club across the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons and won the Finnish League Cup twice during that period.
Those victories came in consecutive years, with FC Inter lifting the competition in 2024 and 2025. The honours remain the most notable achievements recorded in Legbo’s career, which began with RC Abidjan in his native Cote d’Ivoire after he progressed from youth football.
Born in Daloa on 30 August 2001, Legbo stands 1.75m tall. His move to Zira takes him into a new league after spells in Armenia, Finland and Croatia, adding another country to his club career.
Rijeka played in the SuperSport HNL, while Zira compete in the Premyer Liqa. Legbo is also registered for Zira’s 2026-27 campaign, which includes domestic league football and UEFA Conference League qualifying.
His arrival comes after a short spell at Rijeka. The Croatian club had signed him earlier in 2026 following his free transfer from FC Inter, but Legbo has now moved on to Zira for the next stage of his career.
Legbo’s current market value is €500,000, matching the highest figure recorded for him. His career path has taken him from RC Abidjan to Ararat Yerevan, FC Inter and Rijeka before this latest switch to Azerbaijan.
Zira FC have completed the signing of Dimitri Legbo, who officially joined the club on 4 September 2026.
