Azam FC’s Zimbabwean striker, Prince Dube, confirmed his departure from the Tanzanian club. After four years of dedicated service, Dube’s decision to part ways with Azam FC was unveiled in a press release shared online, marking the conclusion of a significant chapter in the 27-year-old’s career.
The news of Dube’s contract termination emerged recently when club representatives, including Zakaria, informed the media about the player’s formal request to end his association with Azam FC, a decision communicated through a letter addressed to the club.
Zakaria emphasized the club’s stance, stating, “Until now, he has two and a half years to parade at the club, and the management has maintained that he can only leave if the terms of the contract are respected.”
Today’s confirmation marks the end of Dube’s journey with Azam FC, a journey that was initially set to extend until 2026.
In a press release issued by the player himself on Thursday morning, Dube expressed gratitude to the club, its supporters, and the various technical staff members he had the privilege of working with during his tenure.
In the statement, Prince Dube conveyed, “It is with mixed emotions that I announce my departure from Azam FC.
These four years have been an incredible journey, filled with challenges, victories, and cherished memories.” He went on to thank everyone associated with the club, extending appreciation from the management to the technical staff, teammates, and, notably, the supporters.
“As I move on to a new chapter in my career, I take with me the lessons learned during my time at Azam FC,” Dube remarked.
He acknowledged the remarkable support received from fans and expressed confidence in the strength and potential of the club, anticipating its continued success.
Prince Dube concluded his farewell message, stating, “I wish Azam FC, my teammates, the technical staff, and the supporters all the success and happiness in the world. Thank you for this incredible journey.”
