Veteran Zimbabwe midfielder Knowledge Musona has set his sight on helping his national team to secure wins against Benin and Nigeria in the upcoming qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The 34-year-old is confident that Zimbabwe can earn all six points from the games to improve its chances of qualifying for the World Cup.
“In football, anything is possible, and it starts with this next game. The priority is to secure three points against Benin before focusing on Nigeria.
“With the quality in this squad, I believe we can achieve maximum points. It all depends on the effort we put in during training and, most importantly, in the matches,” Musona told Zimbabwe new outlet news day.
He continued, “I strongly believe in this team, and personally, I would love for us to win both games to keep our World Cup qualification hopes alive.”
The first of the two games against Benin will be played on Thursday, March 29. Zimbabwe will later take on Nigeria on Tuesday, March 25.
