Recently, as reported by Africa Top Sports.com, Zinédine Zidane dismissed rumors linking him to a return to Bordeaux, the club close to his heart.
He stated, “As always, there’s a lot of talk, and since I rarely respond, rumors fly. For instance, I haven’t had any direct or indirect contact with Monaco as rumored! To clarify, I haven’t reached out to any club, in Monaco or elsewhere. I’m under contract with Real Madrid, and my focus is solely on Real, La Liga, and the upcoming Champions League final. That’s it.”
Despite this, M6, through its president, continues to hold onto hope!
Nicolas De Tavernost, chairman of M6’s board, told Express, “Zidane? Clubs have responsible leaders. What is football business? It’s show business! Having the best actor to lead the show can only be a good thing. So, Zidane at Bordeaux would be fantastic for us.”
However, conditions must be met for this dream to become reality. The decision remains open for now. “To say we haven’t considered it would be untrue. To claim it will happen would be presumptuous,” Tavernost added.
To be continued…
