CO Korhogo lead AS PSI 1-0 at half-time in the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup, with Zeba Alassane’s goal separating the teams at the interval.
The Ivorian club made the breakthrough in the 28th minute, when Alassane found the net to put CO Korhogo ahead. His effort remains the only goal of the match so far and means his side will go into the second half with a narrow advantage.
AS PSI have not been able to respond before the break, leaving them a goal behind as the two teams return to the dressing rooms. CO Korhogo, meanwhile, have protected their lead since Alassane’s opener and remain in front after the first 45 minutes.
The half-time score is:
AS PSI 0-1 CO Korhogo
Alassane’s 28th-minute strike has therefore proved decisive in the opening half of this first preliminary-round tie. It gives CO Korhogo the advantage at the interval, while AS PSI must score after the break if they are to draw level.
No further goals were scored before half-time, leaving the Ivorian side with a one-goal lead when the opening period ended.
