Mohamed Farag Amer, the president of Smouha Club, has disclosed the reality behind Zamalek Club’s withdrawal from the deal to acquire Fady Farid, the striker for Alexandria’s Smouha Club, during the ongoing winter transfer window, despite reaching agreements on all financial and contractual matters.
During a phone interview on the “Sabahko Ryada” program broadcasted on the Youth and Sports Radio, Smouha’s president stated, “Zamalek Club had reached an agreement with us to acquire Fady Farid in the current winter transfer window, but the deal has not been completed or executed yet.
Officials from Zamalek requested us not to disclose the final price of the deal, and we respect their wish.
Therefore, we will not announce the player’s selling price.”
He added, “The only obstacle to the deal currently is the activation of the agreement and the purchase clause from Zamalek’s side.
The completion of the deal was expected yesterday, Tuesday, but it has not happened yet, and it is possible to finalize all matters today.”
