Mohamed Osama, the head physician of Zamalek’s first football team, has provided insights into the injury sustained by Mahmoud Hamdi El-Wensh, the team’s defender, during Saturday’s training session at the club’s headquarters in Mitaqba.
In a press statement on Saturday, Osama confirmed that El-Wensh’s injury occurred in the knee, and the player has been directed to the hospital for medical examinations to ensure his well-being, determine the extent of the injury, and establish the required treatment duration.
Zamalek carried out their training on the club’s field in Mitaqba on Saturday, gearing up for the upcoming clash against Ismaily in the thirteenth round of the Premier League scheduled for the 19th of this month.
The team is currently under the guidance of Portuguese coach Jose Gomez, who recently signed a contract extending over a season and a half.
The coaching staff faces the challenge of managing the squad’s fitness and addressing injuries to ensure optimal performance in the upcoming fixtures.
