Zamalek volleyball player Mohamed Adel ‘Dola’ seeks contract termination over unpaid advance

Mohamed Adel ‘Dola’ has filed a complaint against Zamalek with the Volleyball Federation, asking to terminate his contract after he did not receive the advance payment due under his agreement.

The player was scheduled to receive the first instalment of his contract on 15 August. His contract with Zamalek includes a clause allowing him to end the agreement if the advance payment is not made.

However, Zamalek have not yet received an official notification from the Volleyball Federation confirming the termination of the contract.

The club are attempting to reach an agreement with Mohamed Adel in the coming days in an effort to resolve the dispute and keep him at Zamalek.

Mohamed Adel is understood to be willing to settle the issue and remain with the club if the two sides can reach an agreement. In that event, he would inform the Volleyball Federation that the matter had been resolved and that he would continue as a Zamalek player.

The complaint centres on the payment stipulated in the player’s contract rather than a confirmed decision to end his time at the club. Until the federation formally informs Zamalek of any action, the player’s contractual position remains unresolved.

Mohamed Adel joined Zamalek in 2023 after leaving Al Ahly, signing an initial two-year contract. He later extended that agreement for a further two seasons.

The current discussions are therefore focused on finding a solution that would allow the player to continue with Zamalek, provided the issue over the unpaid advance can be settled. For now, there has been no official notification from the Volleyball Federation to the club regarding the cancellation of the contract.
