The Confederation of African Football (CAF) unveiled today, Wednesday, February 28, 2024, the list of the best goals witnessed during the fifth round of the group stage matches of the 2023-2024 CAF Confederation Cup.
The fifth round of the Confederation Cup saw the staging of eight intense matches as part of the group stage competitions of the continental tournament, as follows:
- Supersport vs. Modern Vetch: 1-1.
- Abusliem vs. Zamalek: 1-2.
- Malian Stadium vs. Diablan Noir: 1-0.
- Dreams FC vs. Espérance Tunis: 1-0.
- Academie du Lobeito vs. Rivers United: 2-3.
- Al-Hilal Sudan vs. USM Alger: 2-1.
- Academie Suar vs. Sagrada: 0-0.
- Sikhouna United vs. Renaissance Berkane: 0-0.
Nasser Mansi, a forward for Zamalek’s first football team, had his goal included in the list of the best goals of the round.
Mansi managed to score both goals for Zamalek in the match against Abusliem from Libya, which ended with a score of 2-1.
Meanwhile, the first goal, created by Omar Gaber, was also selected among the best of the round.
The selected goals are as follows:
- Matsodzi’s goal for Supersport against Modern Vetch.
- Nasser Mansi’s goal for Zamalek against Abusliem.
- Lassine Kouma’s goal for Malian Stadium against Diablan Noir.
- Amer Al-Tawargi’s goal for Al-Hilal Sudan against USM Alger.
- Fernando Camojo’s goal for Academie du Lobeito against Rivers United.
