Ahmed Salem, the official spokesperson for Zamalek Football Club, has announced that a meeting is scheduled between club president Hussein Labib and the duo Mu’tamed Jamal, the former team coach, and Ahmed Magdy to determine their future in the coming period.
Salem stated in a television interview, “The Zamalek board is committed to Mu’tamed Jamal and Ahmed Magdy, and upon the return of Captain Hussein Labib from Qatar, a meeting will be held with them.”
He added, “From my perspective, the mission was successfully accomplished during the winter transfer window with exceptional signings.”
Zamalek Signs José Gomes
Zamalek has officially confirmed the signing of Portuguese coach José Gomes to lead the team.
This decision comes after reaching agreements on all financial and contractual matters with the coach.
Gomes replaces former coach Mu’tamed Jamal, who temporarily took charge recently.
Club officials are pressing Jamal to be part of the new coaching staff.
The signing of José Gomes, officially taking charge for a season and a half, includes a clause in the contract stating that he must secure the CAF Confederation Cup to continue with the team in the next season.
