Zamalek are making bold moves this transfer window, locking in one of Morocco’s rising stars, Abdelhamid Maali, from Ittihad Tangier.
The 19-year-old winger is set to join the Cairo giants after both clubs finalized a $500,000 deal.
According to a trusted source inside Zamalek, the agreement will be paid in two installments of $250,000 per season. The club reached a full agreement with Maali after direct talks and have tied him down with a five-year contract.
“Zamalek reached an agreement with Ittihad Tangier to sign Maali for $500,000 to be paid in two installments ($250,000 per season),” the source told Kooora.
“There was direct communication between Zamalek and Abdel Hamid Maali, and it was agreed that the contract would be for five years.”
The source continued: “Some other provisions have been put in place, such as the player receiving special bonuses if the team wins the league, cup, or Confederation Cup title. He will also be provided with private housing and a car.”
