Egyptian giants Zamalek SC have reportedly approached Rulani Mokwena with an offer to become the club’s new head coach.
Mokwena recently ended his stint with Wydad Casablanca, parting ways with the Moroccan club after just one season.
Despite a challenging spell in Morocco, the South African tactician remains highly regarded across the continent for his tactical acumen and coaching pedigree.
According to sources in Egypt, Zamalek are keen to secure Mokwena’s services following the recent departure of former coach Jose Peseiro.
The club is actively searching for a new head coach, with a shortlist said to be dominated by foreign candidates.
Among the other names linked with the vacant role is veteran South African coach Pitso Mosimane, who is also reportedly under consideration by the Cairo-based club.
