Zamalek official Ahmed Suleiman praises team spirit after Al-Masry win, lauds Nasser Mansi impact
A member of Zamalek’s board of directors, Ahmed Suleiman, has hailed the team’s recent performances, particularly their emphatic 4-1 victory over Al-Masry in the Premier League, describing it as a morale-boosting result during a demanding period.
Suleiman emphasized that navigating pressure is what separates top clubs from the rest, noting that Zamalek are competing on multiple fronts, including the league and the CAF Confederation Cup, which places significant strain on the squad’s schedule.
“Zamalek is going through a difficult period, and the way clubs appear in such situations is what distinguishes the big teams,” Suleiman said. He added that recent fixtures, including the clash against CR Belouizdad, had been challenging, but the win over Al-Masry was crucial in lifting the players’ confidence.
Turning his attention to striker Nasser Mansi, Suleiman singled out the forward’s contribution, praising both his work rate and consistency. He described Mansi’s second goal against Al-Masry as outstanding and highlighted his all-round performance.
“Nasser Mansi is a great player who never complains. He is one of the main reasons behind Zamalek’s recent victories,” Suleiman stated, adding that the entire squad delivered a strong collective display.
He also extended appreciation to head coach Moataz Gamal for his role in the team’s performance.
Addressing off-field matters, including a reported complaint involving Zizo, Suleiman made it clear that the club’s focus remains firmly on upcoming fixtures.
“We are concentrating on our upcoming matches and competitions and do not want to be distracted by anything else,” he said.
