Head of Zamalek’s medical team, Dr. Mohamed Osama, has provided an update on the injuries sustained by three key players—Nasser Mansi, Mahmoud Ben Tayek, and Salah Musaddaq—during their recent clash against Pyramids FC.
Zamalek fell to a 1-0 defeat against Pyramids on Tuesday evening at Cairo International Stadium in the sixth round of the Egyptian League’s coronation phase.
In an official statement, Dr. Osama explained that Nasser Mansi picked up a hamstring injury, while Moroccan winger Salah Musaddaq suffered a bruised ankle.
Midfielder Mahmoud Ben Tayek, meanwhile, reported muscle fatigue.
He noted that all three players were substituted as a precaution to avoid aggravating their conditions.
The injured players are scheduled to undergo further medical examinations to assess their recovery and determine their availability for upcoming fixtures.
