Zamalek’s head of medical staff, Dr. Mohamed Osama, provided an update on the health status of three key players, Mohamed Sobhi, Nasser Maher, and Ahmed El Jafali, after recent injuries.
Dr. Osama revealed on the club’s official website that Sobhi underwent an initial scan on his wrist, and the results were positive, showing no fractures.
“Mohamed Sobhi had an initial scan at a hospital, and the results were reassuring. There are no fractures,” Dr. Osama said. Sobhi had sustained the wrist injury during Zamalek’s 2-2 draw against Ceramica Cleopatra.
Similarly, Nasser Maher also had a scan on his ankle following an injury to the ligaments during the same match.
Dr. Osama assured fans that the scan results for Maher were also encouraging. “Nasser Maher also had a scan, and the results were positive,” he added.
Both players are set to undergo further medical assessments within the next 24 hours to monitor their conditions and determine their recovery timelines.
In addition, Dr. Osama addressed the condition of Ahmed El Jafali, who is recovering from an injury.
El Jafali’s participation in group training will be decided after he undergoes a scan to ensure he is fit to join the squad.
“We will determine the date for Ahmed El Jafali’s participation in training after he undergoes a scan for reassessment,” Dr. Osama said.
Zamalek is preparing for an important clash against Pyramids FC next Tuesday, as part of the Egyptian Premier League’s title phase.
The team will be looking to recover from recent setbacks and will hope to have all their injured players fit for the match.
