In a recent development, a reliable source from Zamalek Football Club revealed that the White Castle’s board has resumed negotiations vigorously in the past hours to secure the services of Ugandan striker Travis Mutyaba during the ongoing winter transfers.
The source, speaking exclusively to Laila Kora on Tuesday, indicated that Zamalek’s management had initiated discussions with the 18-year-old player when he was part of the Nkayiobo Villa club in his home country.
However, the negotiations were put on hold, and the player recently joined Georgian side Dinamo Tbilisi.
The source emphasized that there is a complication regarding the player’s registration with his Georgian club, involving work permits.
Consequently, Zamalek officials are actively working during the current period to intensify negotiations and finalize the acquisition of the talented forward.
Travis Mutyaba, who progressed through the ranks of Uganda’s youth national teams, made his debut for the senior national team in January 2022 at the age of 16.
Since then, he has featured in 11 matches, contributing with a goal to his name.
Zamalek’s pursuit of the young Ugandan forward showcases the club’s commitment to strengthening its squad and tapping into emerging talents on the African football scene.
As negotiations unfold, the football community eagerly anticipates the outcome of Zamalek’s efforts to secure the promising striker for the upcoming challenges.
