Zamalek Football Club ushers in the new year, embarking on an external training camp in the United Arab Emirates, featuring two friendly tournaments.
The first is the Al Wahda Emirates Club Friendly Championship in Abu Dhabi, scheduled from January 18 to 24, followed by the Dubai Challenge Cup between January 26 and 28.
The Al Wahda Emirates Club Championship, held at Al Nahyan Stadium, boasts the participation of four prominent clubs: Al Wahda, Zamalek, Saudi’s Al-Ittifaq, and Qatar’s Umm Salal.
Zamalek kicks off its matches against Al Wahda Emirates on January 20.
Moving swiftly to the Dubai Challenge Cup, Zamalek enters the competition facing Morocco’s Raja Casablanca on Friday, January 26, at 4:00 PM Egypt time at Al Maktoum Stadium in Dubai.
The third-place playoff and the final will unfold on Sunday, January 28, at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM Egypt time, respectively, at Al Maktoum Stadium.
The first team of Zamalek, under the guidance of head coach Moataz Jamal, decided to forego regular training today, opting instead for a friendly match at the club’s stadium.
The coaching staff will divide the players into two teams for the friendly, a strategic move to enhance player readiness for the upcoming challenges.
