Zamalek SC have been crowned Champions of the 2025 Egypt Cup after overcoming Pyramids FC on penalties in the final.

The two clubs locked horns at the Cairo International Stadium on Thursday night to battle for the last silverware of the 2024/25 football season.

French off winning their maiden CAF Champions League trophy, Pyramids FC started the Cup final very well and opened the scoring in the 29th minute to take a narrow lead into the halftime break.

Despite the advantage, Pyramids FC could not hold on to the finish line. Zamalek put up a strong showing in the second half and managed to restore parity in the second half.

An equaliser from Nasser Mansy in the 78th minute forced the game to end 1-1 in 90 minutes, taking the game to extra time.

Although both teams would push for the winning goal in extra time, neither side could find the breakthrough.

In the battle from 12 yards, the Zamalek players showed nerves of steel to secure an 8-7 victory to clinch the 2025 Egypt Cup.
