Zamalek player Ahmed Rabie has revealed that he suffered a broken nose during the club’s African Champions League match against the Rwandan Army.
Rabie started Zamalek’s 1-0 first-leg victory in the round of 32, played at the Rwandan side’s stadium.
The 25-year-old confirmed the injury in a post on Instagram, writing: “Praise be to God in all circumstances, a broken nose. It is God’s will and what He has willed has happened.”
Zamalek will return to domestic action against Asyut Petroleum in the seventh round of the Egyptian Premier League.
They are scheduled to face the Rwandan Army again in the second leg at Cairo International Stadium next Saturday.
Rabie joined Zamalek at the start of last season after moving from National Bank of Egypt. He has made nine appearances for the club since the beginning of the current campaign.
