Zamalek have outlined the transfer strategy they plan to follow during the current period, as the club navigates a difficult financial crisis that is putting pressure on decision-makers at board level.
A senior source at the club told Kooora that there is a strong tendency to accept the departure of some players, led by playmaker Nasser Maher, amid talk of an offer from Pyramids.
The source stressed that this is not about discarding the player for free, but about waiting for a substantial financial proposal that matches Maher’s technical value and helps inject much-needed funds into the club. The board intends to sit down with Maher soon to discuss his situation, with any official bid to be carefully studied before a final decision is taken.
At the same time, the source rejected rumours that Zamalek plan to dismantle the core of the squad.
Reports that Brazilian midfielder Juan Bezzera could be sold were denied, with the club insisting he is a key pillar of the team and completely off the market for the current winter window, as they seek to preserve stability and balance within the group.
