Zamalek have decided to reinstate striker Nasser Mansi for training after completing an investigation into the incident that led to his suspension.
Mansi will join Monday’s session following a decision by head coach Moataz Gamal and football director Abdel Nasser Mohamed, according to FilGoal.com.
The decision on whether Mansi will return to match action will be left to the coaching staff, led by Gamal.
Zamalek are preparing to face El Mokawloon El Arab on Wednesday in the eighth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Mansi was suspended after celebrating his goal against Rwandan Army in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
He scored Zamalek’s only goal in their 1-0 victory in that match. Following his celebration, Abdel Nasser Mohamed imposed a substantial financial penalty on the striker.
Mansi apologised to Gamal, Mohamed and his team-mates during the players’ dinner after the game.
The forward accepted the punishment and confirmed that in a video recorded immediately after the match. He was also informed of the amount of the fine imposed on him.
Mansi later issued a further apology through his personal Instagram account.
