Zamalek board member Amr Adham has fiercely criticized the Egyptian Clubs Association (AEC) following Al Ahly’s withdrawal from the league clash and a complaint by Pyramids FC to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
Posting on X, Adham took aim at the AEC’s written response to CAS regarding the special measures requested by Pyramids, calling it poorly written and lacking in depth.
“The Clubs Association’s response to the Sports Court regarding the exceptional procedures as requested by Pyramids Club lacked the basics of language, wording, and most importantly, substance,” he said.
“The language, poor wording and spelling errors reflect the modest drafting capabilities and the lack of revision to correct the errors, reflecting the capabilities of those chosen to manage the biggest football competition in Egypt.
“The League’s response included evasion and an attempt to disavow and blame the Grievance Committee.”
Adham accused the Association of contradictions, weak arguments, and bias, questioning their transparency and fairness in handling one of Egypt’s most competitive league finishes in years.
