A senior source inside Zamalek revealed that the latest board meeting was marked by chaos, absences, and early walkouts, raising fresh questions about stability at the club.
The source told Kooora that the session was scheduled to start early but its launch was suddenly delayed, which led to board members Hani Shoukry, Hani Berzy, and Amr Al-Adham missing the meeting altogether. The organizational confusion continued as the gathering finally began, with several attendees expressing displeasure at how the session was managed.
Board member Ahmed Suleiman went to the executive director’s office to officially record that the meeting had not started on time, then chose to leave in protest at the delay. Tension did not stop there, as vice president Eng. Hesham Nasr and board member Neira Al-Ahmar also asked to leave roughly halfway through the discussions, deepening the sense of unease in the room.
In the end, only a limited group remained: club president Hussein Labib, treasurer Hossam Al-Mandoh, along with members Rami Nossouhy, Ahmed Khaled Hassanain, Mohamed Tarek, and Hussein Al-Sayed. This reduced bloc tried to push ahead with urgent issues on the agenda, despite the absence of nearly half the board in what has become one of the most contentious sessions recently at the White Castle.
