The board of Zamalek Sporting Club convened for a session with Mohamed Abdel-Monsef, the team’s goalkeeping coach, following his departure from the White Knights and the appointment of a foreign goalkeeping coach.
Hisham Nasr, the Vice President of Zamalek, along with Ahmed Soliman, Hany Barzi, and Ahmed Khaled, members of the club’s board of directors, were present at the session.
During the meeting, Zamalek officials assured Mohamed Abdel-Monsef of his status as a loyal member of the club who had not fallen short in his duties.
They conveyed that he would be assigned to another position within the club in the near future.
Zamalek recently secured the services of Portuguese coach José Gomes as the team’s head coach, accompanied by three foreign assistants, including a goalkeeping coach.
Ahmed Magdy will serve as the assistant coach, and Abdelwahed El-Sayed as the football director.
This restructuring also marked the departure of Moatamed Gamal and Mohamed Abdel-Monsef from the coaching staff.
The meeting aimed to express appreciation for Abdel-Monsef’s contributions and to affirm the club’s commitment to his ongoing involvement in a different capacity within Zamalek.
