Zakaria Hamadi leaves MAS Fes as Italian-Moroccan defender becomes unattached

Italian-Moroccan left-back Zakaria Hamadi has left MAS Fes and is now without a club after completing his departure from the Moroccan champions.

The 28-year-old’s move was recorded on 3 September 2026, bringing his spell with MAS Fes to an end following a title-winning 2025-26 season. No transfer fee was recorded for his departure.

Hamadi joined MAS Fes from Mouloudia in August 2024 on a free transfer and went on to establish himself in Morocco’s Botola Pro Inwi. He made 61 appearances in the competition, scoring once and providing two assists.

The defender is left-footed and stands 1.82m tall. His playing position is left-back, offering experience in a role he has occupied across spells in Morocco, Switzerland and Germany.

His time at MAS Fes ended with the club securing the Moroccan championship in the 2025-26 campaign, adding to an earlier Swiss third-tier title in his career. The achievement was the first Moroccan league title listed alongside his club record.

Hamadi began his senior career in Switzerland after coming through the youth system at AC Milan. He moved from Milan’s under-19 side to FC Chiasso in 2017, before later playing for Yverdon Sport and Wolfsburg II. He subsequently spent time without a club before joining AC Bellinzona in February 2022.

After leaving Bellinzona, Hamadi moved to Mouloudia in September 2022, remaining there until his switch to MAS Fes two years later. His move to MAS Fes was his most recent club change before his departure was registered this month.

Hamadi, who holds Italian and Moroccan nationality, has now entered the next stage of his career following his exit from MAS Fes. The 28-year-old is officially without a club as of 3 September 2026.
