The youth team of Al-Ittihad Alexandria achieved a victory over the senior team with a scoreline of 3-2. This victory sets a positive tone for Al-Ittihad Alexandria as they gear up to face Al Ahli Bank in the upcoming league fixture scheduled for the following Sunday, marking the 13th round of the competition.
The goals for the youth team were scored by Abdelhalim, Ahmed Menaai, and Besoony, while Traore and Satouhi found the net for the senior team.
The match began with Al-Ittihad fielding a lineup consisting of Omar Salah in goal, Mahmoud Shabana, Ahmed Ghanim, El-Habib, Fahd in defense, Moro, Al-Wahsh, Bilal, and Sherif Reda in midfield, and Traore and Satouhi upfront.
The youth team took an early lead with a goal from Abdelaliim in the 10th minute, swiftly followed by Traore’s equalizer.
Satouhi then capitalized on a pass from Sherif Reda to secure the senior team’s lead with a header, concluding the first half with a score of 2-1 in favor of Al-Ittihad.
At the start of the second half, Mahmoud Shabana was substituted due to injury.
However, the youth team managed to level the score once again with Ahmed Menaai finding the net, making it 2-2.
Finally, Besoony sealed the victory for the youth team with their third goal, securing a 3-2 win over the senior team.
In a separate development, the under-17 team of Al-Ittihad Alexandria football club secured a 1-0 victory against the Canal Club in the Republic League.
The match took place at the Al-Ittihad club’s stadium in Smouha on Wednesday, showcasing the club’s depth and talent across various age groups.
