Youssef En-Nesyri is quickly becoming the man Fenerbahce can count on.

The Moroccan striker was on target once more, helping his side earn a 2-2 draw against Alanyaspor on Wednesday evening in Istanbul. The game was a rescheduled fixture from the opening round of the Turkish League.

The visitors started brighter and went ahead in the 18th minute through Ibrahim Kaya, silencing the home crowd. Fenerbahce kept pressing but struggled to break down Alanyaspor’s defense until the final quarter of the match. Nelson Semedo finally found the equalizer in the 72nd minute, lifting the fans. Just four minutes later, En-Nesyri finished off a neat move to put his team in front.

Celebrations were cut short when Yusuf Özdemir struck deep into stoppage time, ensuring Alanyaspor took a share of the points. The late goal left Fenerbahce frustrated but still in second place with 11 points, four behind leaders Galatasaray.

En-Nesyri’s goal was his fourth in the league and fifth in all competitions this season, underlining his importance in Fenerbahce’s attack.
