Youssef En-Nesyri has turned down a loan move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr, choosing to remain with Fenerbahçe in Turkey despite interest from the Saudi Pro League club.
The Moroccan striker, currently 27 years old, has made it clear that he is not open to a temporary switch and would prefer a permanent transfer should any move take place.
Reports had surfaced suggesting that Al-Nassr was looking to acquire En-Nesyri as part of a swap deal, involving the departure of Brazilian forward Anderson Talisca.
The deal would have seen Talisca leave Al-Nassr and En-Nesyri join the club on a loan basis during the upcoming winter transfer window.
However, as per Saudi sports newspaper Arriyadiya, the former Sevilla forward rejected the terms, insisting that he would only consider a permanent transfer if he were to leave Fenerbahçe.
This season, En-Nesyri has been a key player for Fenerbahçe, featuring in 24 matches across all competitions.
He has impressed with 9 goals and 3 assists, contributing significantly to his team’s attacking efforts.
Meanwhile, Talisca, who has been with Al-Nassr for some time, has also been in good form, scoring 8 goals in 19 appearances this season.
However, with En-Nesyri’s refusal of the loan arrangement, it remains to be seen how Al-Nassr will adjust their plans during the transfer window.
En-Nesyri’s decision to stay with Fenerbahçe highlights his desire for a permanent future with the club, as he continues to thrive in the Turkish league.
His preference for a fixed transfer over a loan reflects his long-term ambitions and commitment to finding the right opportunity for his career.
