Youssef En-Nesyri is on the brink of achieving a historic milestone with Fenerbahçe in what has been an impressive debut season for the Moroccan forward.
Since arriving at the Turkish club at the start of the 2024-25 campaign, he has delivered outstanding performances, registering remarkable statistics with several weeks of competition still to come.
A standout season
En-Nesyri, who built a strong reputation at Sevilla FC, has seamlessly adapted to life in Turkey, quickly establishing himself as Fenerbahçe’s key attacking presence.
Despite the club’s recent Europa League elimination and their ongoing chase behind league leaders Galatasaray, the Moroccan striker has been a standout performer, consistently delivering crucial goals.
Currently, En-Nesyri has netted 26 goals and provided five assists across all competitions.
In addition to his impressive goal tally, he is now closing in on a remarkable club record—having scored in six consecutive home matches for Fenerbahçe.
Chasing a club record
The 26-year-old has been in prolific form at home, finding the back of the net in each of his last six appearances at Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium.
During this streak, he has accumulated 10 goals, with decisive contributions against Başakşehir (2 goals, December 15, 2024), Hatayspor (2, January 5, 2025), Göztepe (2, January 26), Rizespor (1, February 2), Kasımpaşa (2, February 16), and Antalyaspor (1, March 2).
This achievement places him alongside two Fenerbahçe greats—Brazilian playmaker Alex De Souza, who managed the same feat in the 2005-06 season, and Turkish legend Aykut Kocaman, who extended his scoring run to seven games in 1993-94.
A chance to make history
En-Nesyri now has the opportunity to equal Kocaman’s record when Fenerbahçe hosts Samsunspor on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
Having missed the club’s last two matches, including the Europa League clash against Rangers, the Moroccan striker will be eager to return to the scoresheet and make his mark in the club’s history.
With his prolific form and crucial contributions, all eyes will be on En-Nesyri as he looks to further cement his status as one of Fenerbahçe’s key players this season.
Kick-off for the highly anticipated fixture is scheduled for 5:30 PM GMT.
