Youssef Saeed Abdelhafiz, a player for Al Ahly’s youth team, emphasizes his commitment to extracting the maximum benefit from his inclusion in the first team’s camp in the United Arab Emirates.
In a statement to the Al Ahly website, Abdelhafiz said, “My experience with the first team is good, and I am trying to make the most of working with the coaching staff led by Marcelo Gallardo.”
He added, “There are significant differences between playing with the youth team and the first team, and the running intensity is much higher.”
Continuing, he stated, “I am trying to focus to the maximum to perform well when I get the opportunity, and I am seeking to learn as much as possible from Al Ahly’s camp in the UAE.”
Abdelhafiz concluded, “My primary position is midfield, but at the beginning of the season, I found myself participating more in the right-back position.
However, Gallardo has pushed me to play in the midfield.”
Youssef Abdelhafiz joined a group of players and youth in Al Ahly’s camp in the UAE in preparation for the resumption of the league following the conclusion of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The player took part in Al Ahly’s first friendly match in the UAE against Saudi’s Al-Akhdoud, which ended with a 2-1 defeat for the Red Devils.
