Players from the Young Mohamedia football team persist in their strike, boycotting group training sessions due to the prolonged delay in receiving their outstanding financial entitlements, a matter still pending with the club’s management.
According to a well-informed source, Young Mohamedia players are steadfast in their strike, protesting the overdue payment of their financial dues and warning of an escalation if a solution to their current situation is not promptly found.
Osama Al-Nasiri, the president of the representative team from the “City of Flowers,” held a meeting with the players last week, promising to disburse their financial entitlements at the beginning of this week.
However, the youth team’s management failed to fulfill this commitment, prompting the players to resume their strike.
The players engaged in their training sessions on Friday and Saturday with the hope of receiving their dues the following Monday, as assured by the club’s administration.
Nevertheless, the president’s inability to make the payment led them to strike again on Monday and Tuesday, impacting training sessions.
It’s worth noting that Young Mohamedia is scheduled to face Renaissance Berkane, their opponents, on Thursday at the Bouchaib Al-Mohammadi Stadium in Mohamedia, as part of the 13th round of the Professional League.
The continued stand-off between the players and the club’s management raises concerns about the team’s preparedness for upcoming matches and the potential impact on their performance in the ongoing league.
The unresolved financial dispute puts additional pressure on the administration to swiftly address the concerns of the players and ensure the resumption of normal training activities.
