FC Schalke 04 are being linked with a move for FC Twente winger Younes Taha in a deal rated at a 13% probability, according to data from Transfermarkt.

The 23-year-old right winger, currently listed with FC Groningen and wearing the No 10 shirt, is reported in the latest transfer rumours as a potential target for the 2. Bundesliga side, with Eredivisie club Twente named as the selling club in the speculation.

Taha, born in Amsterdam on 27 November 2002, holds dual nationality with Morocco and the Netherlands and is valued at €3.00m on the transfer market. With no public information on his contract expiry, observers have noted the possibility that any future switch – whether from Groningen or involving his previous Twente registration – could come under conditions where his deal is nearing its end, or eventually as a free agent if no extension is agreed.

An attacking right winger who prefers his left foot and stands at 1.76m, Taha has been developing his game in Dutch football, featuring in the Eredivisie with Twente before his current spell at Groningen. He is listed in the “Attack – Right Winger” role and is regarded as a creative wide option rather than a central striker.

The reported 13% likelihood underlines that the move remains at an early, speculative stage rather than an advanced negotiation, and there is no indication yet of talks between the clubs being close to completion.

If Schalke were to firm up their interest, a switch to Germany’s second tier could give Taha a new platform to enhance his reputation beyond the Netherlands and potentially act as a springboard for the next phase of his career.
