17-year-old winger with Moroccan and Equatorial Guinean heritage, Lamine Yamal, has publicly contested a fan’s match rating on social media platform TikTok.
The incident occurred following Barcelona’s thrilling 4-4 draw against Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semifinal .
Yamal has been making waves in the football world with his exceptional performances for Barcelona’s first team.
The match in question was a rollercoaster of emotions, with both teams showcasing their attacking prowess.
Barcelona, after initially falling behind 2-0, managed to turn the tide and take a 4-2 lead, with Yamal playing a crucial role by providing an assist for Robert Lewandowski’s goal in the 74th minute .
Following the match, TikTok user Joananpu posted a video reviewing the game and assigning ratings to players from both teams.
Yamal, despite his significant contribution, was given a rating of 6.5 out of 10. This assessment apparently did not sit well with the young footballer .
The teenager responded directly to the TikTok post, commenting, “You are completely drunk.”
The TikToker, seemingly taken aback by Yamal’s response, promptly deleted the original post. However, they later republished the video with an adjusted rating for Yamal, increasing it to 7.5 out of 10 .
